My Story
My name is Kevin Magee with over 30 years of experience as a basketball coach, I have dedicated my career to developing and nurturing youth basketball players from the ground up. My passion lies in turning raw potential into polished skill, helping young athletes grow both on and off the court. Specializing in players aged 10 to 15 years old, from beginner to intermediate levels. I’ve worked with boys and girls alike, equipping them with the techniques and mindset necessary to excel in the game.
From 2005 to 2006, I had the privilege of coaching the East Carolina University Women’s Club Basketball Team, guiding the team through two competitive seasons. My coaching journey also extends to youth leagues and developmental programs where I’ve molded countless players into confident and skilled athletes.
As a certified fitness trainer through NESTA (since 2004) and a Player Development Specialist through Impact Basketball, I bring a holistic approach to athlete development, focusing not only on basketball skills but also on strength, agility, and overall athletic performance. I have further honed my expertise through NASM Integrated Speed, Agility, and Quickness (SAQ) training, ensuring that my athletes are prepared to outpace and outmaneuver their competition.
I’m proud to be an affiliate of the Ganon Baker Training and Development Program, one of the most respected names in global basketball training. This affiliation allows me to continuously update my coaching techniques and stay at the forefront of the sport’s evolution.

Athlete Highlights
As a dedicated coach, I have led numerous youth basketball teams to victory, winning several league championships and tournaments across the country. My passion for the game and commitment to developing young athletes has been a driving force in my coaching career.
Before embarking on my coaching journey, I was a multi-sport athlete, playing both varsity basketball and football from 10th grade through my senior year at Poly High in Sun Valley, California. My firsthand experience as a player has given me a deep understanding of the dedication, discipline, and teamwork required to succeed in competitive sports, which I now pass on to the next generation of athletes.
Session Plan
Every player’s journey begins with a personalized evaluation session designed to assess their current skill level, strengths, and areas for growth. We kick things off with a dynamic warm-up, not only to prepare the body physically but also to gauge the player's flexibility, agility, and overall conditioning. This warm-up sets the tone for a session tailored to the individual athlete.
From there, each workout is customized based on the player’s unique needs and goals. No two sessions are the same—what follows after the warm-up depends entirely on the athlete. Whether it’s ball handling, shooting mechanics, footwork, or game IQ, I design drills and exercises to enhance the specific skills needed for each player's development.
My focus is on helping each player become the best version of themselves, aligning our training with their aspirations. Whether they're aiming to sharpen specific skills or become a more well-rounded athlete, the goal is to develop them into the player they want to be, not just the player they currently are.
